Site in West Kowloon triggered for auction on May 8

    The Lands Department today (March 30) announced that a site at the junction of Hoi Wang Road, Yan Cheung Road and Yau Cheung Road in West Kowloon Reclamation, Kowloon Inland Lot No. 11073, had been successfully triggered for sale under the Application List System.  

     The lot will be offered for sale in the 2007-2008 financial year's first government land auction to be held on May 8 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui.

     A Lands Department spokesman said the Government had accepted the applicant's minimum guaranteed bid of $2.605 billion for the lot.  This will be the opening bid at the auction subject to the reserve price of the lot.

     Kowloon Inland Lot No. 11073 has a site area of about 8,060 square metres and is designated for non-industrial (excluding godown, hotel and petrol filling station) purposes.  A minimum gross floor area of 36,270 square metres must be completed.

     The final Conditions of Sale for the lot will be available for distribution and uploaded onto the Lands Department's website (http://www.landsd.gov.hk) by April 20, 2007, when the particulars of the land auction will also be gazetted.
