******************************************************

The Transport Department today (March 30) reminded grave sweepers that the access road leading to the Tseung Kwan O Chinese Permanent Cemetery would be closed to all vehicular traffic including KMB special bus Route No 14S, with the exception of emergency vehicles, from 5.30am to 8pm on April 1, 5 and 8.

In addition, a general road closure will be implemented on March 31, April 6, 7, 9, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29, May 1 and 6 from 5.30am to 6pm daily. All vehicles except KMB special bus Route No. 14S, emergency vehicles, hearses, vehicles in funeral processions and vehicles possessing permit issued by that cemetery are prohibited from using the access road leading to the cemetery. A department spokesman said KMB's special bus route would run from 7am to 5.25pm between Lei Yue Mun Road, Yau Tong and the cemetery.

The spokesman appealed to the public to make full use of public transport, avoid going to the cemetery on busy days and follow the instructions of Police or other personnel on duty. If members of the public are going to take KMB Route No. 14S, they should be aware of the general road closure.
