In a move to keep Hong Kong businesses at the competitive cutting edge with tailor-made IT solutions, Dell expanded its facilities in Hong Kong by launching an Application Solution Centre (ASC) today (March 28).
Housed within Dell's extensive Hong Kong offices in Quarry Bay, the Dell ASC not only showcases the latest Dell hardware – but also offers customers the opportunity to view and evaluate software and solutions before implementing them in a production environment.
Managing Director of Dell Hong Kong Limited, Mr Glen Burrows said, "Dell entered the Hong Kong market in the early 1990's. The Application Solution Centre we are opening today represents a significant investment for Dell in Hong Kong, and reflects a deeper level of resources and expertise, to better serve the needs of Hong Kong customers. This centre demonstrates Dell's enhanced capability to deliver solutions from storage through system management; solutions that will work in real-world situations. We encourage our customers to visit our new centre to review and evaluate the wide array of products and solutions that Dell now offers."
Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Mr Mark Michelson, congratulated Dell on the opening of the ASC. "The Centre not only strengthens Dell's services to its customers, it also cements Hong Kong's position as a regional business and technology solutions centre. According to Dell, the ASC in Hong Kong was among the first set up in the Greater China region, with three others located in Xiamen, Beijing and Shanghai.
