Clara Chong to stay as HKTB's executive director until April 18

    The incumbent Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Ms Clara Chong, has agreed to extend her tenure for a month until April 18, 2007, at the request of the Government and the board.  Ms Chong's current contract expires on March 18, 2007.

     This was announced by a Government spokesman today (March 16) in response to media enquiries. "The extension of Ms Chong's contract for one month will help facilitate a smooth transition of the tourism board leadership. We thank Ms Chong for her past contribution to the board in promoting tourism," the spokesman added.
