The Government today (March 16) announced that the Chief Executive had re-appointed Dr Thomas Leung Kwok-fai, BBS, JP, and Mr Tim Lui Tim-leung, JP, as members of the Standing Committee on Directorate Salaries and Conditions of Service for a term of one year with effect from April 1, 2007.
The Chief Executive has also appointed a new member, Mr Chow Chung-kong, to the Directorate Committee for a term of two years from April 1, 2007.
The Directorate Committee advises the Government on the establishment structure and matters relating to the pay and conditions of service concerning the directorate of the civil service.
The Government also expresses gratitude for the service of Mr Henry Fan Hung-ling, SBS, JP, who will retire from the Directorate Committee on April 1 following two years' valuable contribution to the work of the committee.
The Directorate Committee is currently under the chairmanship of Mr Vincent Cheng Hoi-chuen, GBS, JP. Other serving members of the Directorate Committee are Ms Teresa Ko Yuk-yin and Mr Nicky Lo Kar-chun, JP.
