Quarterly Report on General Household Survey for October - December 2006 is now available for sale.
The report contains statistics on labour force, employment, unemployment and underemployment for the fourth quarter of 2006. It also contains detailed analyses of the characteristics of different categories of members of the labour force, including their age, sex, educational attainment, employment status, occupation, industry, hours worked per week and monthly employment earnings. Information on reasons for leaving last job and duration of unemployment for the unemployed is also presented.
Figures presented in the report are statistics which involve the use of the population figures in the compilation process. They have been revised with respect to the results of the 2006 Population By-census, which provided a benchmark for revising the population figures compiled since the 2001 Population Census, together with the adoption of recent enhancements in the estimation method. An appendix showing the revised key labour force statistics from Q1 2001 to Q4 2006 is included in the report for reference.
