The Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr Joseph W P Wong, will today (March 15) lead a delegation of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries on a three-day visit to Shantau, Meizhou and Heyuan. Mr Wong is the honourary leader of the federation delegation to East Guangdong.
The delegation, which comprises some 40 members including the federation chairman, Mr Kenneth Ting, will meet the leadership of Shantou, Meizhou and Heyuan and visit the factories of Hong Kong enterprises there.
The delegation will also participate in investment forums in the three cities to gain better understanding of the local business environment.
The delegation will return to Hong Kong on Saturday (March 17).
