Cheung Chau site triggered for auction on March 27

    The Lands Department announced today (February 15) that a site at Shui Hang, Sai Wan in Cheung Chau, Lot No. 1848 in D.D. Cheung Chau, had been successfully triggered for sale under the Application List System.  

     The lot will be offered for sale at this financial year's sixth Government land auction on March 27 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui.

     A Lands Department spokesman said that the Government had accepted the applicant's minimum guaranteed bid of $39 million for the lot.  This will be the opening bid at the auction subject to the reserve price of the lot.

     Lot No. 1848 in D.D. Cheung Chau has a site area of about 10,382 square metres and is designated for private residential purpose.  A minimum gross floor area of 2,491 square metres must be completed.

     The final Conditions of Sale for the lot will be available for distribution and uploaded onto the Lands Department's website (http://www.landsd.gov.hk) by March 9, 2007 when the particulars of the land auction will also be gazetted.
