In view of the recent persistent high demand for type A and type O blood, the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) wishes to appeal to those who are type A or O blood group to make a donation as soon as possible. To ensure adequate blood supply, in addition to the regular daily requirement of 700 donations, we need an extra of 50 donors, each for type A and type O blood group, to donate to ensure adequate supply.
Every minutes count in saving lives. Many patients are waiting for those who are blood type A or type O to act as soon as possible!
