No. 3 alarm fire in To Kwa Wan roundup

     A range of brick and tin-sheeted structures were severely damaged in a No. 3 alarm fire at Ma Tau Wai Road, To Kwa Wan last night (December 24).

      The fire broke out at the rooftop of an eight-storey residential and commercial composite building at 123 – 127 Ma Tau Wai Road, To Kwa Wan at 7.58pm yesterday.

      The fire was upgraded to No. 3 alarm at 8.12 pm.

      Firemen mobilized four breathing apparatus teams and used six jets to fight the blaze which was put out at 9.21 pm.

      A total of 45 persons were led to place of safety. No casualty was reported.

      Initial reports revealed that the cause of the fire was not suspicious.
