The Government Property Agency is inviting tenders for the purchase of 40 flats and the two rooftops of Block A and 40 designated car-parking spaces in one parcel at Wylie Court, 15, 17, 19, 21 & 23 Wylie Path, Kowloon, Hong Kong (former Government quarters). The Tender Notice is gazetted today (November 3).
Each flat in Block A has a saleable area of about 151.3 square metres (about 1,629 square feet). The flats together with designated car-parking spaces will be sold either with vacant possession or subject to existing tenancies, and the two rooftops with vacant possession.
Three flats, Flat B on 16/F, Flat A on 7/F and Flat B on 3/F of Block A at Wylie Court, will be open for inspection by interested parties during the following periods:
(i) November 9, 2006 from 2.30pm to 5.30pm
(ii) November 16, 2006 from 10am to 1pm
(iii) November 23, 2006 from 10am to 1pm
(iv) November 30, 2006 from 2.30pm to 5.30pm
Interested parties are required to register at Flat B on 3/F of Block A before inspection.
Tender documents are available for collection at the Government Property Agency, 31/F, Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong during office hours (8.30am to 5.45pm from Monday to Friday). They can also be downloaded from the Agency's website: http://www.gpa.gov.hk.
Interested tenderers must submit their tenders before noon on December 1, 2006. Late tenders will not be accepted.
Demand for Non-Departmental Quarters has dropped as civil servants joining the Government on or after October 1, 1990, are not eligible for Non-Departmental Quarters with the introduction of new civil service housing benefit schemes. It has been Government's intention to dispose of government surplus quarters where circumstances permit. Since the 1990s, more than 180 surplus quarters have been sold in the market.
