The Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr Joseph W P Wong, today (October 30) expressed his warmest congratulations to the Hong Kong film ¡§After This Our Exile¡¨ for winning the Best Asian Film Award and the Award for Best Artistic Contribution in the 19th Tokyo Film Festival.
The film is produced by Vision Films Workshop Ltd, a local film production company, and the director is Mr Patrick Tam.
¡§I am aware that the competition this year is very keen. The two distinguished awards won by "After This Our Exile¡¨ clearly demonstrate the creative and artistic achievements of Hong Kong films in Asia as well as in the world.
¡§I would like to congratulate all the staff and the cast of the film for their devotion and creativity in making the film a success,¡¨ Mr Wong said.
