The Lands Department registered 23 lease modifications and four land exchanges in the Land Registry during the quarter ending September, 2006, of which 15 were for residential and 12 were for non-residential development.

Among these 27 land transaction cases, nine are located on Hong Kong Island, nine in Kowloon and nine in the New Territories.  The transactions exclude Small House cases.

Another two lots were granted by private treaty during the period.  One was for the residential development at KCRC's Tai Wai Maintenance Centre in Sha Tin, and the other one for the reprovisioning of pump house in Central Reclamation Area.

A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (October 16) that the 29 land transactions realised a total land premium of about $9.06 billion.

Transaction records of the above lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants are uploaded onto Lands Department's website ( on a monthly basis.  Further case details may also be readily obtained by searching the registered document directly from the Land Registry.
