A new round of the Arts Corner and Arts Fun Fair will be launched at Victoria Park and Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III) respectively tomorrow (October 2).
Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the Arts Corner and Arts Fun Fair aim to provide recreational and cultural activities for park goers and foster an appreciation of the arts in a leisure setting.
From tomorrow to June 24, 2007 (except February 18 to 19, March 11, 18 and 25), from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays, 40 Arts Corner stalls will be set up at the South Pavilion and South Pavilion Plaza in Victoria Park, displaying and selling recreational, arts and cultural-related souvenirs. Services such as painting, photography, calligraphy and sketching will also be offered. Admission is free.
There will be nine stalls set up at Lai Chi Kok Park from tomorrow to September 30, 2007. In the fun fair a wide range of recreational, art and cultural-related souvenirs and pre-packed traditional snacks will be for sale, while services like painting and sketching will be offered.
The LCSD organises similar events in two other venues.
The Arts Corner at Hong Kong Park will be held at the outdoor area near the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until December 31.
The Arts Fun Fair in Kowloon Park will run from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays until May 27, 2007.
