Yuen Long Community Harmony Project Carnival and Prize Presentation Ceremony

   The public is invited to visit the"Yuen Long Community Harmony Project" Carnival and Prize Presentation Ceremony at Kingswood Ginza, Tin Shui Wai, Yuen Long between 2pm and 4.30pm tomorrow (September 24). Admission is free.

    The carnival is the highlight of a series of community building activities to foster harmony under the "Yuen Long Community Harmony Project" organised in the district from July to September. Programmes for the carnival include a roving exhibition, booth games, magic, martial arts, dance and singing performances.

     The series of activities under the project include a roving exhibition focusing on the life and culture of ethnic minorities from South Asia, their exchange visits to local families, a student drawing competition and a game booth design competition.

    Awards will be presented to winners of the student drawing competition and the game booth design competition at tomorrow's ceremony. Officiating guests are Yuen Long District Officer, Mr James Chan; Yuen Long District Council (YLDC) Chairman, Dr Tang Siu-tong; YLDC Vice-chairman, Mr Leung Che-cheung; Chairman of the Yuen Long Town Hall (YLTH) Management Committee, Mr Wong Kwong-hon; and Convenor of Civic Education Bulletin Team of the Yuen Long District Civic Education Committee, Ms Cheung Wai-fun.

    The "Yuen Long Community Harmony Project" is organised by the Yuen Long District Office and the YLDC, and assisted by the Yuen Long District Civic Education Committee and Chomolongma Multicultural Community Centre of YLTH, and sponsored by the YLDC.
