CE to visit Hunan

    The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will lead a delegation of government officials and local business leaders on a three-day study tour to Hunan on September 24 to promote economic and trade co-operation between Hong Kong and the Pan-Pearl River Delta (Pan-PRD) region. In the coming few months, the Chief Executive will continue to lead a number of business delegations to Guizhou and Jiangxi.

     During the visit to Hunan, the delegation will attend the "Hong Kong-Hunan Business Co-operation Symposium" and the Expo Central China 2006. Mr Tsang will also visit local enterprises and infrastructural facilities.

     The Hunan delegation is being organised by the Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Government officials accompanying Mr Tsang on the visit include the Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr Joseph Wong, the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr John Tsang, the Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology (Commerce and Industry), Miss Yvonne Choi and the Permanent Secretary for Constitutional Affairs, Mrs Cherry Tse.

     During the Chief Executive's absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Rafael Hui, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
