The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Frederick Ma, will lead a delegation of over 100 members to Changsha, Hunan next Wednesday (September 13) to promote Hong Kong's financial services and enhance economic co-operation between Hunan and Hong Kong.
This is the first financial services delegation led by the Government to visit Hunan at the invitation of the Hunan Provincial Government, under the Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Co-operation Framework (known as 9+2).
The delegation comprises prominent leaders of Hong Kong's banking, securities and insurance industries, venture capital investment and private equity funds, accounting and legal professions. Many of the delegates are from multinational corporations.
Besides meeting with senior Government officials of Hunan, members of the delegation will, during the three-day visit, attend various seminars and presentations on business opportunities arising from co-operation between Hong Kong and Hunan.
In addition, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited will hold a listing seminar for Hunan enterprises to encourage them to make use of Hong Kong's well-established financial market for listing and financing.
There will also be visits to a number of Hunan enterprises.
