¡@¡@¡@Hongkong Post announced today (September 7) that under the Hong Kong/Mainland Gift Fulfilment Service, orders for sending mooncake gift sets to the mainland and locally within Hong Kong will be accepted from September 7 to 23.

¡@¡@¡@Assistant Postmaster General (Business Development) from Hongkong Post, Mr Dan Choi, said: "This year we are pleased to provide a choice of 13 traditional mooncake gift sets, specially selected for customers to send to relatives, friends or business partners in Hong Kong and on the Mainland. Some of the gift sets are made in Hong Kong while others are produced on the Mainland, and all come in attractive presentation boxes. These gifts represent remarkable value for money, being of high quality and priced affordably and appropriately to satisfy different needs.

¡@¡@¡@"Based on the popularity of this programme in previous years, we anticipate a high demand for these items and we urge customers to book their deliveries promptly so as to avoid a last-minute rush. Orders placed within the period stated are guaranteed to be delivered before the Mid-Autumn Festival."

¡@¡@¡@Customers can place orders for the mooncake gift sets to be sent to over 2,000 cities on the Mainland and throughout Hong Kong. The gift sets are priced from $168 to $768, including delivery charges. Order forms can be obtained at any post office. Completed order forms can be handed in at any post office, or sent by fax or post to the Hongkong Post Logistics Centre on or before September 23. Customers can also order online at the Hongkong Post Internet Shopping Mall on the ShopThruPost website (www.shopthrupost.hk), where photos of the different gift sets are displayed. All orders will be delivered on or before October 6, for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

¡@¡@¡@Hongkong Post and China Post have teamed up to offer the Hong Kong/Mainland Gift Fulfilment Service since January 2004, providing customers with the choice and convenience of sending gift sets to friends or associates at addresses on the Mainland. As well as mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival, the range of different gift sets includes Lunar New Year gifts and bouquets, cakes and flower baskets for other celebratory occasions.

¡@¡@¡@The Hong Kong/Mainland Gift Fulfilment Service has proved to be very popular with customers because of the quality and variety of the gifts, the convenience of ordering and the reliability of the service. There is traditionally a heavy increase in the volume of mail and courier items preceding holiday periods, and customers are advised to place their Mid-Autumn Festival orders as early as possible.
