Building management sharing sessions and workshop now open for enrolment

    Two experience-sharing sessions on building management practices and a workshop on owners' corporations and management companies are now open for enrolment.

     The activities are part of the "Quality Building Management Workshop Series", organised by the Home Affairs Department's Building Management Resource Centre (New Territories East).

     The experience-sharing sessions will be held on September 28 and October 5 respectively, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. While representatives from the winning housing estates from Sha Tin and Tai Po districts in the "Quality Building Management Competition" will speak in the first session, the winners from Sai Kung and North districts will host the other session. Representatives from the Hong Kong Housing Society will attend both sharing sessions.

     The October 9 workshop on the relationship between owners' corporations and management companies will run from 7.30pm to 9pm. Representatives from the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies will introduce the subject.

     People who successfully register for and attend the sharing sessions or the workshop will be issued with a certificate. Those from owners' corporations and mutual aid committees of private buildings will have priority in enrolling.

     The sharing sessions and the workshop will be held at the Resource Centre, Room 510, 5/F, Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road, Sha Tin. Applicants may either enrol at the centre or call 2158 5433 for registration forms.

     There will be a quiz for each of these three activities to promote the issues discussed. The two quizzes for the sharing sessions will begin at October 3 and October 9 respectively. The quiz for the workshop will be begin on October 12. Quiz papers will be available from the Resource Centre and the deadline for joining the three quizzes will be October 25. A limited number of souvenir gifts will be awarded to those who have answered the questions in a quiz correctly.
