The public consultation on proposed boundaries and name of the constituencies for the 2007 District Council Election will close on Friday (August 25).
A spokesperson for the Electoral Affairs Commission today (August 23) said that people who wanted to express their views must do so before the deadline.
"Consenting and dissenting views on the provisional boundaries and names of the constituencies are welcome," he said.
Written representations should be sent to the commission secretariat (10/F Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, fax: 2511 1682, e-mail: eacenq@reo.gov.hk). For enquiries, call 2827 1269.
Maps of the proposed constituency boundaries and a boundary description booklet are available for public inspection at more than 600 locations, including the Registration and Electoral Office, District Offices, post offices, management offices of public housing estate and public libraries. They can also be viewed at www.eac.gov.hk.
