Opening the festival is Shen Wei Dance Arts (USA) presenting "The Rite of Spring" and "Near the Terrace" on October 20 and 21. Well-known for fusing dance and visual arts, choreographer, dancer and painter Shen Wei utilises the performance space as a piece of canvas, dedicating himself to creating new dance for 21st century audiences.
