Red flag at Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach in Tsuen Wan District lowered

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (August 17) that the red flag hoisted at Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach in Tsuen Wan District has been lowered.

     The lowering of the red flag followed the advice by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) that the water quality of the beach is now suitable for swimming.

     The red flag was hoisted on August 14 due to the water quality was classified by the EPD as Grade 4 and it was not suitable for swimming.
