Ta Kwu Ling No.3 alarm fire roundup

    A single-storey tin-sheeted compound used as a warehouse for storage of rubber tyres at Ng Chow South Road, Ping Che, Ta Kwu Ling, was severely damaged during a No.3 alarm fire this afternoon (August 13). The affected compound measures about 40 metres x 80 metres.

     The fire broke out at 5.16 pm and was upgraded to No.3 alarm at 7.05pm.  

     Firemen mobilised five jets, one foam branch and two  breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze. The fire was put under control at 8.50 pm and was finally put out at 9.22 pm.

     No casualties were reported.

     Initial investigation reveals no suspicious circumstances about the fire's cause.
