Secondary Six Admission Procedure completed
*******************************************

Stage IV of the Secondary Six Admission Procedure has been completed today (August 11). Since all subvented Secondary Six (S6) places have been filled, the central allocation application process scheduled for tomorrow (August 12) will be cancelled and the Central Allocation Application Centres will not be operating.

Those students who are still unable to secure an S6 place may be able to get a place at the beginning of the new school year because some students may have decided not to take up their S6 places. Vacancy information will be available on the website of the Education and Manpower Bureau and at all Regional Education Offices throughout September. Applications should be made to these schools direct.

Students can also choose from a wide range of further studies opportunities, including Project Yi Jin, post-secondary programmes run by various institutions, the Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme, as well as training places provided by the Vocational Training Council.

The Project Yi Jin Joint Registration will be held from 10am to 6pm at the Hong Kong International Trade and Exhibition Centre, at Kowloon Bay tomorrow (August 12) and Sunday (August 13). Interested students can obtain programme details and submit applications on the spot.
