The Labour Department and the Education and Manpower Bureau will provide a series of advisory and counselling services on further studies and careers for Secondary 5 (S5) students from tomorrow (August 7) until August 12.
Three advisory centres will be set up to provide one-stop advisory and counselling services to S5 students and their parents. Information on careers development in various trades and industries, vocational training and further studies both locally and overseas will also be provided.
In addition, there will be information on various programmes suitable for S5 students, such as the Youth Pre-employment Training Programme, the Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme and the Project Yi Jin.
The three advisory centres are located at:
* the Careers Information Centre, Labour Department, 34/F, Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong;
* Room W304, 3/F, West Block, Education and Manpower Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon
; and
* Conference Room, 22/F, Landmark North, 39 Lung Sum Avenue, Sheung Shui, New Territories

Staff in the centre will also man an enquiry hotline (2115 8622) and an online chatroom (www.labour.gov.hk/careers) for students to share their experiences and seek advice. Duty officers at the centre will give advice when necessary as chatroom hosts.
