Pictured is the "Paris Impression" series created by renowned local artist Hung Hoi during his trip to Europe in 2003. He employed traditional Chinese brushstrokes with acrylic and oil paints from the West to create a hazy and intoxicating ambience. The work will be on display along with other 80 artworks by Hung at the "Traditional into Contemporary - Art of Hung Hoi" exhibition which will run from tomorrow (August 5) until August 15 at the Hong Kong City Hall. Twenty small paintings which feature the sceneries of Hong Kong, Paris and China will move to display at the Lung Cheung Mall in Wong Tai Sin from August 29 to September 10. |
