The Electoral Registration Officer today (July 25) released the three final registers of electors for 2006.
For the Election Committee (EC) subsectors, the final register carries 220,307 voters, representing an increase of 8.93% over 2005. These registered voters are eligible to vote at the EC subsector elections in December 2006.
For the functional constituencies (FC), the final register carries 215,551 electors, representing an increase of 8.23% over 2005.
As regards the geographical constituencies (GC), the final register carries 3,185,927 electors, representing a slight decrease of 0.92% when compared with 2005, after taking into account deletions of electors who had passed away or had not reported their latest residential addresses to the Registration and Electoral Office (REO). The GC electors in the final register are distributed as follows:

Apart from registration of new electors, the records of 428,097 GC electors, 2,897 FC electors and 3,258 EC subsector voters have been updated in the final registers.
Full sets of the GC final register are available for public inspection at the REO at 10/F Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai. People may also inspect the relevant section of the register pertinent to a particular district at the respective District Offices.
Full sets of the FC and EC subsector final registers are available for public inspection at the REO's Harbour Centre office and its office at 10/F Guardian House, 32 Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai. They are also available at the five District Offices in Central and Western, Yau Tsim Mong, Kwun Tong, Sha Tin and Tsuen Wan.
Registered electors may call the REO enquiry hotline, 2891 1001, to enquire about their own registration particulars.
Notices on the inspection of the final registers were published in the Government Gazette today.
