The Financial Secretary has appointed Mr Louis Fung Kai Lin and Mr Vincent Kwan Po Chuen as members of the Insider Dealing Tribunal to inquire into possible insider dealings in the listed securities of Harbour Ring International Holdings Limited (currently known as Hutchison Harbour Ring Limited) during 2000.
Appointment of the two members was made pursuant to section 15(2) of the Securities (Insider Dealing) Ordinance (Cap. 395).
Mr Fung is a practising solicitor and a Partner of Haldanes Solicitors and Notaries. Mr Kwan is a practising solicitor, a certified public accountant and the General Manager (Legal) of Sino Land Company Limited. Both are familiar with the operation of Hong Kong's financial markets.
They will sit on the tribunal under the chairmanship of Deputy High Court Judge Saunders.
The preliminary hearing of the inquiry will start at 4pm on Monday (July 17) at the Insider Dealing Tribunal at Room 702, Tower Two, Lippo Centre, 89 Queensway, Hong Kong.
