Four families survived a series of challenging physical and mental games in today's (June 25, Toronto time) "Historic Family Adventure Race" at the Toronto Dragon Boat Festival, to earn the right to compete in the Hong Kong sedan chair race.
Sponsored by the Hong Kong and Economic Trade Office (HKETO) in Canada and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the family adventure race required families to use their physical and mental strength to complete challenging tasks including wrapping rice dumplings, a photo hunt, a Hong Kong puzzle, chopsticks challenge and Chinese tea tasting.
When the dust settled and the results were worked out, four families were left to compete in the sedan chair race. And the stakes were high. The winning family was awarded a family trip to Hong Kong with accommodation and a guided tour of some of Hong Kong's most popular tourist spots.
