North District Hospital fever case update

North District Hospital (NDH) issued the following statement today (June 19):

A 31-year-old male patient who claimed he developed fever after contact with poultry in Hunan, China a few days ago and was admitted to NDH yesterday (June 18). The test result of the patient’s naso-pharyngeal secretions was confirmed negative to Influenza A (H5). The patient is now being treated under isolation and is in stable condition.
