The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (December 9) that all public libraries would close at 5pm on Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year's Eve (December 31) except the libraries at Lamma Island. North Lamma Public Library will close at 4.30pm, while South Lamma Public Library will be closed all day.
On Christmas Day (December 25) and the day after Christmas Day (December 26) and January 1, all public libraries and students' study rooms will be closed.
While normal arrangements for libraries' individual closing days apply, opening hours of public libraries on December 27 (Tuesday) and January 2 (Monday) will be the same as those for public holidays.
