Police today (December 7) reclassified a dead body found case that occurred in Quarry Bay early this morning as murder.
Shortly after 2.35am, a 25-year-old male security guard found a 16-year-old injured man lying outside the changing room of a football pitch in Quarry Bay Park on Tai Koo Wan Road. A report was then made to the Police.
Sustaining injuries to his head, neck, face and hands, the man was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where he was certified dead at 3am.
A post-mortem on the deceased is being conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island are proceeding.
