Public invited to join hiking activities

    People aged six and above are being invited to join hiking activities offered under the Healthy Exercise for All Campaign jointly organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Department of Health.  

     The Healthy Exercise for All Campaign, now in its sixth year, is aimed at encouraging the public to do regular physical exercise for the benefit of their health.  The Hiking Scheme has been a regular feature of the campaign and this season¡¦s hiking activities will be held until March, 2006.
 
     There are four categories of recommended hiking trials for selection:

1) Nature Routes.
2) Scenery Routes.
3) Heritage Routes, and,
4) Family Routes.

     Details about the routes will be shown on http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/healthy/hiking/en/index.php.

     Enrolment for the hiking activities will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Adult supervision is required for children under 12.

     Enrolment fee is $40.  Children from six to 14, elderly people aged 60 or above, full-day students, and disabled persons and their minders (limited to one minder per participant) will each pay a concessionary fee of $20.
