The Highways Department is now inviting interested parties to submit tenders for the provision of department's three road management and maintenance projects.
The first project is the department's Term Contract (Management and Maintenance of Roads in Eastern and Southern Districts of Hong Kong Island excluding High Speed Roads 2006 – 2011) (tender reference: 10/HY/2005). This is a five-year maintenance term contract from April 2006 to March 2011.
The works mainly comprise the maintenance of public highways, slopes, highway structures landscaping and associated works including minor improvement works in Eastern and Southern Districts of Hong Kong Island but excluding the High Speed Roads.
The second project is the Highways Department Term Contract (Management and Maintenance of Roads in Kowloon West excluding High Speed Roads (2006 – 2010) (tender reference: 11/HY/2005). This is a four-year maintenance term contract from April 2006 to March 2010.
The works mainly comprise the maintenance of public highways, slopes, highway structures, landscaping and associated works including minor improvement works in Kowloon West but excluding the High Speed Roads.
The third project is the Highways Department Term Contract (Management and Maintenance of Roads in Sha Tin, Sai Kung and Islands Districts excluding High Speed Roads 2006 – 2012) (tender reference: 12/HY/2005). This is a six-year maintenance term contract from April 2006 to March 2012.
The works mainly comprise the maintenance of public highways, slopes, highway structures, landscaping and associated works including minor improvement works in Sha Tin, Sai Kung and Islands District but excluding the High Speed Roads.
The contracts will be supervised by the Highways Department.
Interested parties for the first project (tender reference: 10/HY/2005) can pick up the tender documents from tomorrow (November 25) during office hours at the office of Regional Highway Engineer/Urban, Highways Department at the 7th floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong.
For the second project (tender reference: 11/HY/2005), interested parties can pick up the tender documents from tomorrow during office hours at the office of Chief Highway Engineer/Kowloon, Urban Region, Highways Department at the 13th floor, Nan Fung Commercial Centre, 19 Lam Lok Street, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon.
Forms of tender and further particulars for the third project (tender reference: 12/HY/2005) are available tomorrow at the office of Regional Highway Engineer/New Territories, Highways Department on the second floor, Ho Man Tin Government Offices, 88 Chung Hau Street, Ho Man Tin, Kowloon.
Tenders must be clearly marked with the tender reference and the subject of the tender on the outside of the envelope (but it should not bear any indication that could relate the tender to the tenderer) addressed to the Chairman, Central Tender Board, and placed in the Government Secretariat Tender Box situated in the lift lobby on the lower ground floor of the central Government Offices (East Wing), 20 Lower Albert Road (at its junction with Garden Road), Hong Kong, before noon on Friday, January 6, 2006. Late tenders will not be accepted.
