Picured is a rock crystal vase carved in fish-dragon shape made in the Qianlong period (1736 - 1795) in the Qing dynasty, expressing peoples' hopes of fame, glamour and material wealth. This exhibit will be on display along with more than 220 antiques and paintings with different auspicious meanings at the "Auspicious Emblems: Chinese Cultural Treasures - 45th Anniversary Exhibition of the Min Chiu Society", which will run from tomorrow (November 25) until July 19, 2006, at the Hong Kong Museum of Art. |
