The Mobile Library 9 would suspend service from November 28 (Monday) to December 3 (Saturday) for regular maintenance, a spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (November 22).
The service points affected are Kai Yip Estate in Kowloon Bay, Tsui Ping (South) Estate in Kwun Tong, Wong Chuk Hang Estate, Siu Sai Wan Estate, Lei King Wan and Heng Fa Chuen.
People are welcome to use other public libraries during the maintenance period. They may also renew library materials by telephone at 2698 0002 or 2827 2833, or via the Internet at www.hkpl.gov.hk.
A new mobile library service point will be set up at On Ho Lane (adjacent to Eightland Gardens), Tai Po from December 2 (Friday) on every alternate Friday from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm, except public holidays. The mobile library service at Wan Tau Tong Estate in the same district will be cancelled from the same day.
In addition, the Toy Library at the 2/F of the Hong Kong Central Library in Causeway Bay will be temporarily closed from December 6 (Tuesday) to 18 (Sunday) for maintenance and enhancement works.
During the closure period, works including cleaning, safety check and replacement of decoration and display will be performed to further enhance the quality services of the Toy Library.
