Global IP Sound (GIPS), a leading provider of embedded voice-processing solutions for the Voice over IP (VoIP) market, announced today (November 21) the opening of its new office in Hong Kong. The office will be responsible for providing sales, marketing and engineering services to customers in the Asia-Pacific.
According to the GIPS's General Manager – Asia-Pacific, Mr John Fargis, Hong Kong's central location in Asia and the city's role as the regional business hub for Greater China and North Asia were the main attractions for the company.
Mr Fargis said, "In 2004, we were able to penetrate the Asian market. This year, we will continue the momentum by aggressively focusing on this region. Having a regional sales office in Hong Kong can allow Global IP Sound to better serve the fast-growing VoIP markets in Asia-Pacific – especially the VoIP hardware manufacturers in the Greater China region."
The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Mr Mark Michelson, officially welcomed GIPS to Hong Kong.
