The Immigration Department today (November 20) appealed to travellers to cast their votes in the annual courtesy campaign at the eight immigration control points.
"The campaign will be conducted from tomorrow (November 21) to November 27. It aims to encourage staff to provide courteous and efficient service to the public. It will also help promote Hong Kong tourism," a spokesman for the department said.
"Travellers can vote for counter officers performing commendable immigration clearance services for them by asking for a ballot form from the counter officer, filling in their own names and travel document or Hong Kong identity card numbers on the ballot forms with the officer's name, and then putting their ballot forms into the ballot boxes placed behind the immigration counters at the control point," the spokesman added.
The campaign will be publicised at the immigration control points during the voting period.
The Immigration Control Officer who gets the most votes will be named Hong Kong Courtesy Ambassador by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
