Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui this (October 28) afternoon in which a 26-year-old man was killed.
At about 6.30 pm, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 51-year-old man was travelling along Jockey Club Road towards Man Kam To. When reaching near No. 17 Jockey Club Road, it overtook a bicycle which was travelling in the same direction. Shortly after that, the MGV driver was alerted by another driver and found the 26-year-old male cyclist was injured.
Sustaining serious head injuries, he was certified dead by ambulancemen at scene.
Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North.
