revised offer
******************************************************* In response to media enquiries on the European Union's revised offer in the World Trade Organisation negotiation over agriculture, the Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr John Tsang said today (October 28) : "I have heard news reports of the offer; I have yet to study the details. I welcome the news that the EU has placed a revised offer on agriculture. I am encouraged. It shows that EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson has worked hard and I recognize his efforts.
"It is a step forward, and the ball is still in play. I urge all Members to show flexibility, political will and leadership so that we can work positively towards formulating a credible package."
