In 2001, the Antiquities and Monuments Office launched the largest archeological project in Sha Ha, Sai Kung. Major finds include the discovery of stone tool workshops of the Late Neolithic Period and the Bronze Age, as well as a number of prehistoric postholes, pits burials. Artifacts unearthed include prehistoric pottery, stone tools, bronze implements and relics of the Han and Song dynasties. Running from tomorrow (October 29) until April 30, 2006 at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, "The Ancient Culture of Hong Kong: Archaeological Discoveries in Sha Ha, Sai Kung" exhibition will feature the overall results of the excavation and more than 100 unearthed artifacts.
