Fatal traffic accident in Central
********************************* Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 50-year-old motorcyclist was killed in Central this (October 19) afternoon.
Shortly before 12 noon, a bus driven by a 35-year-old man was travelling along eastbound Connaught Road Central. When reaching near the junction with Morrison Street, it reportedly collided with a motorcycle making a right turn on the westbound carriageway of Connaught Road Central.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the motorcyclist was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.32 pm.
The case will be handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic Hong Kong Island.
