The Government Property Agency is inviting tenders for the purchase of 46 apartments (former Government quarters) together with 46 designated car parking spaces in one parcel at 8-10 Caldecott Road, Kowloon. The Tender Notice is gazetted today (October 14).
Each apartment has a saleable area of about 253.7 square metres (about 2,730 square feet). The apartments together with designated car parking spaces will be sold either with vacant possession or subject to existing tenancies.
Two apartments, Flat 15, 8/F and Flat 44, 10/F at the above address, will be open for inspection by interested parties during the following periods:
(i) October 20 from 2pm to 5pm
(ii) October 27 from 10am to 1pm
(iii) November 3 from 10am to 1pm
(iv) November 10 from 2pm to 5pm
Interested parties are required to register at Flat 15, 8/F before the inspection.
Tender documents are available for collection at the Government Property Agency, 31/F, Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong during office hours. They can also be downloaded from the agency's website: www.gpa.gov.hk.
Interested tenderers must submit their tenders before noon on November 11, 2005. Late tenders will not be accepted.
It has been Government policy to dispose of surplus quarters. Since 1992, more than 180 surplus quarters have been sold in the market. Subject to market response, arrangements of the sale of surplus quarters will be reviewed in light of the experience of the present exercise.
