Appeal for victims of indecent assault in Kwun Tong
*************************************************** Police appealed to victims of indecent assault cases to come forward after arresting a 23-year-old man in connection with a series of similar cases in Kwun Tong this (October 9) morning.
In response to seven reports of indecent assault that occurred in Tsui Ping Estate since August this year, District Intelligence Squad of Kwun Tong took over the investigations.
Enquiries revealed that the victims, females aged between 13 and 32, were touched on the upper parts of their body from behind by a man on the podiums in the estate. The man then fled immediately after committing the crime.
Officers from the District Intelligence Squad and Investigation Team of Kwun Tong started laying ambush from September in Tsui Ping Estate.
At about 8 am this morning, the officers saw a man whose appearance resembles the descriptions of the wanted man in the estate. Officers followed the man and subsequently arrested him outside 410 Kwun Tong Road.
The arrested man is still being detained for enquiries.
Police urged anyone who has encountered this modus operandi but has not reported to Police to contact the investigating officers at 2709 8252 or 2709 8254.
