Police today (October 5) appealed for information on a traffic accident in which a 38-year-old woman was killed in Wan Chai on October 2.
At about 3.30 pm on October 2, a private car driven by a 49-year-old man was travelling along northbound Pennington Street. While approaching the junction with Irving Street, the private car reportedly knocked down the 38-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to Ruttonjee Hospital and later transferred to Queen Mary Hospital where she was certified dead at 2.14 pm on October 3.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team, Traffic Hong Kong Island are proceeding.
