
Mail services to parts of US south suspended

The Assistant Postmaster General (Postal), Mr Chan Yau-fung, announced today (October 3) that, as advised by the United States Postal Service, due to new damage inflicted by Hurricane Rita, the mail delivery service to the zip codes of 700, 701, 703, 704 and 706 in the state of Louisiana and 776 and 777 in the state of Texas are temporarily suspended with immediate effect until further notice.
This supersedes the announcement issued on September 5.
