Appeal for information on wandering boys (with photos)

Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of two boys who were found wandering in Tai Po and Tung Chung yesterday (October 1).

At about 11 am and 11 pm yesterday, two boys were found wandering by security guards inside a park outside Fook Wo House of Tai Wo Estate and a park outside Fuk Yat House of Yat Tung Estate respectively. Reports were then made to the Police.

The boy found in Tai Po is about three to five years old. He stands about one metre tall and is of thin build. He has short hair and small eyes. He was wearing a red T-shirt, brown shorts and a pair of white sports shoes when found. Sustaining no injury, he has been sent to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital for observation.

Police urge the relatives of the boy or anyone who has information to offer to contact the investigating officers - the Divisional Investigation Team of Tai Po - on 2660 3305 or the duty officers of Tai Po Police Station on 2660 3200.

The boy found in Tung Chung is about four years old and with short hair. He stands about one metre tall and weighs about 17 kilograms. He was wearing a T-shirt with orange, pink and blue stripes, a pair of grey trousers, a pair of blue slippers and a necklace with a piece of "Eight Diagrams" and green pendants when found. He, sustaining no injury, was admitted in Princess Margaret Hospital for observation.

Police urge the relatives of the boy or anyone who has information to offer to contact the investigating officers - the Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-Unit of Lantau North - on 2988 2330 or the duty officers of Lantau North Police Station on 2988 2370.
