The Town Planning Board (TPB) today (September 30) announced that the Chief Executive in Council had approved the following four draft Outline Zoning Plans (OZPs):
- Draft Wan Chai Outline Zoning Plan (re-numbered as S/H5/23)
- Draft Causeway Bay Outline Zoning Plan (re-numbered as S/H6/14)
- Draft Mid-Levels East Outline Zoning Plan (re-numbered as S/H12/10)
- Draft Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau Outline Zoning Plan (re-numbered as S/H15/21)
The above four draft OZPs were previously approved by the Chief Executive in Council between March 2003 and September 2003. On December 9, 2003, the Chief Executive in Council referred them to the TPB for amendment to incorporate in the revised Master Schedule of Notes (MSN).
The revised MSN, endorsed by the TPB in February 2003, provides greater clarity and certainty in the land use zoning system, enhances consistency in planning control, increases flexibility for change of use, and reduces unnecessary planning applications.
On May 28, 2004, the four draft OZPs incorporating amendments were exhibited for public inspection. During the exhibition period, five objections to the draft OZPs were received. Upon completion of the objection consideration process, the four draft OZPs were submitted to the Chief Executive in Council for approval.
The four approved plans are now available for public inspection during normal office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Hong Kong District Planning Office in North Point Government Offices and the relevant District Offices.
Copies of the approved OZPs are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZPs can be viewed on the board's website at http://www.info.gov.hk/tpb.
