**********************************************

The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (September 28) pursued four claims in the Small Claims Tribunal for some $58,000 on behalf of 22 employees, who were owed MPF contributions by their employers.

At today's hearing, Bozz Limited did not dispute the amounts claimed.  The Adjudicator ordered it to pay the MPFA the sum of $5,250.00, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable.

The other three defendants, including Kuo Chiau Security Company Limited, Linea Trading Co. Ltd. and Jade Cheers Development Limited, did not appear at today's hearing.  In their absence, the Adjudicator ordered them to pay the MPFA the sums of $35,430.00, $9,252.15 and $8,574.83 respectively, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable.

The amounts awarded will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as they are received by the MPFA. The court further awarded payments of $240, $160, $250 and $340 as costs in respect of the claims.
