Police are investigating a case in which the body of a 19-year-old woman was found in Tai Po today (September 26).
At about 12.30 pm, Police received a report that a floating body was found off Tai Po Industrial Estate.
Police launches arrived at the scene and picked up the body of a 19-year-old woman who sustained injuries to her forehead and limbs.
The woman was about 1.6 metres tall, thin build and wore a light yellow T-shirt, light blue jeans and a pair of sneakers when found.
An autopsy will be conducted tomorrow (September 27) to ascertain the cause of her death.
Investigations by District Crime Squad of Tai Po are proceeding.
Police appeal to members of the public who might have seen the woman in the vicinity of Tai Po Industrial Estate or Tai Po Waterfront Park to contact the investigating officers on 2660 3278 or 2660 3281.
